I can't have a pet, even though I found the cutest bunny that I've ever laid eyes on. She said that I can only get a pet that doesn't shit, which means getting a plastic animal. Can you imagine taking a plastic rabbit out to play?
So anyway, back to the cute bunny. A few weeks back while walking past a pet shop at one of the major malls, I saw a cute, little, floppy-eared bunny with brown patches of fur on it's ears and nose. It was so cute that I was tempted to get it but instead, we named it John Tardy. I wanted to cuddle it and take it home with me but due to the fact that my mum had already said no pets, I had to say goodbye to it.
I've been meaning to go back and see it but I haven't. A part of me hopes that it hasn't found a home yet, just so that I can go back and visit it but if it's already gone to a home, I hope that it's a good home.
For the record, I was ever to get a pet, I'll go down to the SPCA or the Cat Welfare Society. I don't believe in going to a pet shop to get them.

Well said. Why would anyone wanna pay thousands of dollars for a pet when there are many strays and abandoned ones that need a home.
Nothing less cuter, nothing less adorable than any of those put up for sale. Not that I have anything against the animals. But how can anyone put a tag on these animals like as if it's theirs in the first place.
Ed: I totally agree with your point regarding putting a price tag on the animals. Just because they're there for us to love doesn't mean that we can trade or sell them.
Well, maybe when you have your own place you can have one..but right now, you should listen to mummy :)
Maybe your mom thinks that you are not responsible enough (yet) to have a pet, maybe one day you ask her again.

melai: Well, you do sound like my mum a little. Hahaha. Seriously though, I personally don't think that I'm responsible enough to take care of another living thing that requires as much attention as a pet. Maybe one day, I will get a pet.
